Linn began her love of Akitas and Sea Breeze Kennel in 1984. That love produced multiple champions, some of which were Sea Breeze Grand Wizard, Bounty Hunter, Excalibur, MS Pinafore, Captain Hook. That love expanded to include Shiba Inu’s.

Linn was fortunate to begin that breeding program with a little bitch named CH Lietash Whirling Dervish “Tigger”. She finished her Championship her first weekend out at 6 ½ months of age winning 4 consecutive Group 1’s from the 6-9 month puppy class and finished #1 Shiba THAT year! There is nothing like your first Best In show and Tigger gave me that. A moment in time that I'll never forget.

Finishing 4th that same year was Ch. Clean Sweep “Hoover”. Her program also included Ch Sea Breeze The Sundance Kid, who finished from the bred by class. After a divorce, a move to New Mexico, and remarrying, she began Desert Breeze Dogs where the breed and size of the dogs have changed, but not the devotion and dedication to them. From presenting their dogs at shows to producing the best puppies they can, Steve and Linn Vandiver truly "show" that their dogs are part of the family.
